This guy is the real deal: themeateater.com/His show airs on the Sportsman Channel or you can pay to stream them from his website: meateater.vhx.tv/If you're familiar with how to download from torrent sites the show can be found there too. Spots and stalks all of his game and always shows some part of the field dressing or meat prep process. Then to cap off the episode he makes a meal with whatever he shot. He even goes so far as to give coyote a try. It's a great show that really highlights the positives of hunting for your own meat. Check it out.

I highly agree, I watched the first season one weekend when OLN had it on. They list it as a show but never show it. I haven't watched many hunting shows but this one is a good one.

Hard Core Hunting, Local show. Met the owner last year on the Ferry on his/my way Moose Hunting . Most of those US Shows are staged, fenced in Hunting

Its Local? I did not know that. Yes i agree 90% are staged fenced in hunts where they have their selection of 10 monster bucks at their feeder that is turned on the same time everyday so the deer are regulars. Frustrates me. I would rather a show of a failed hunt that is educational showing tracking skills, how to read terrain etc.

It's not a local show, they might have taped a show in Nfld. The first season I watched it was all US and Alberta I think. He usually hikes to the area he hunts, kills, cuts it up and packs it up in his backpack to carry out. Before he leaves the area he usually cooks a part of the animal over fire for a meal. Great show.

Local as can be, hardcorehunter tv, host Steve Hipson. He is from NS, Guides in NFLD and most shows are maritime located. Steve Hipson, owner Fox harbour Outfitters, NS. Perhaps you have similar named show in mind? There are a couple out there.

This is on WildTV, 118, Either Tuesday or Wedseday evenings. Used to watch it plenty, talked with him last year on the ferry, he was going guiding (Fox harbour Outfitters) and making some new episodesfor the show as well. A lot of his shows are made in NFLD, NS and NB. One I saw from Maine (Turkeys)

MWO I don't know what show you're referring to. If you click on the link up top it leads you to the website. The host's name is Steven Rinella, he's from Michigan. Like I said, watched the first season never saw anything in Atlantic Canada. Just checked WildTV website and they don't list MeatEater as a show. It runs on the Sportsman Channel in the US, which is owned by NBC Sports. The first episode of this show aired on January 1, 2012.

My bad, I need to read your post better. I missed the spot where you said Hardcore Hunter in your first post. I thought we were still talking about the initial post of Meateater.
