contact Annapolis valley gun club, Allan King will know the local sources. If you wish to go to Chester Basin area there is a good source there at the Kevens taxidermy (I think that is what they are called) What calibers are you planning on loading for?

I will be loading 6.5x55mm and .223rem Gordon I picked up a couple of pounds of powder for .223 reloading from Laquille Country store but those 2lbs were all the powder they had

what kind of dies and press are you planning on using? for your 6.5 stay away from norma brass and be sure to look inside the case before you try to decap. Some (quite a lot of actually), 6.5 brass is Berdan primed and usless to you, if you see 2 small flash holes inside toss em and dont look back. Another tip with bolt action rifles most of the time there is no need to full length size. I collet neck size 5 times then anneal and full length size. I am still useing my original 100 pieces of brass for my 7rm. Each piece has been fired 11 times and still going strong What I do is decap then clean then size, prime then powder. for each style of bullet I keep a "dummy with the bullet seated 30 thou off the lands" I have found that 30 thou from the lands gives a accurate jump and alllows for top fps with low recoil. If you want in the new year I will take a trip down your way and berate you on your setup.

I just bought a couple of simple Lee Loaders Gordon and got hold of some decent data, I did buy decent digital scales, calipers and bullet puller. I don't have any brass that was Berdan primed I have all brass that was fired from my Husqvarna , some Nosler, Remington and Steller & Bellot. If I find that I am doing quite a bit of reloading I may buy a press. You are welcome to come over the mountain for a visit anytime my friend...lol

the lee loader is how I started loading for rifles (many many years ago ((dont ask),) But, to use a bullet puller with that style of loader you will need something to grip the case with, go to UAP or any other auto supply store and get yourself 2 pairs of "spark plug wire pullers" 1 to hold the bullet and 1 to hold the brass just grip both twist and pull (over clean wax paper if you want to save the powder) Just lube the body of the case and the neck NOT THE SHOULDER and be cheap with the lube too much lube will cause dents in the shoulder. When you do dent a shoulder that will not hurt the case but you will have to clean out your die(degrease ) And you will set off primers useing the primer setter in those kits, you may want to get a hand held primer tool Lee makes IMHO the best one on the market. I have been using mine since 1990 If you only have 1 load data book before you do any load use a different source and confirm it! You can go on line to www.hodgdonreloading.com/ and www.nosler.com/load-data/ and www.alliantpowder.com/default.aspx

Mike the kenitic pullers work well but, wrap a tiny piece of sponge in plastic and place that in the hammer to soften the hit to the point of your bullets. And as an offering I have if you want a Lee perfect powder measure. I upgraded to Frankfort arnsenal model that has a much wider powder measure. It is much better for the huge powder dumps that I need. Anyway the measure is yours if you want it

if you are in need of powder, primers, bullets or any other things reloading call Brian Densmore 902 568 2990 his prices are better than cabelas and are tax in and on top of all that he has courier contacts that will ship anywhere in mainland NS up to 8pounds for around $20.00. I had a shipment of powder (3 pounds)& 3pkgs of primers after shipping $168.00
