As suggested by Luke in the chat how would people feel about a range day, either at a DNR range or if people are members at a private range then there? I know that people are based all around the Province but we could try to find somewhere central for everyone, or even have multiple at different locations.
Any thoughts?

I am in for it. I use the range at Mt Merrit quite a bit and the range at Chester Grant every once and a while. Chester Grant has a good number of back stops that can accomodate about 6 firing at a time. Mt. Merrit can only do 1 at 100 meter or multible (up to about 4) at the 50 & 25 mtr slot. Chester Grant is very accessible year round and Mt Merrit is only accessible during good weather (by car that is if you wish to walk in or use atv's year round). I do prefere Mt Merrit over Chester Grant (just personal preference). Bull Medows is controled by the NSRA so, if you wish to use it through DNR I think that the 100 mtr is all that is avalible. Some sort of aggrement with DNR and NSRA. NSRA = Nova Scotia Rifle Assn. I have not been to Bull Medows but, if you wish to set a date I will try to get there. To use the online range booking you need to sign into the DNR range booking system using your wildlife resourse card. During the rifle sight in season you can only book 2 (1/2 hour) slots at a time. So, more than 1 person is required to book an afternoon. PM me if you are interested in arranging a time and range

Thanks G0rd0. We can see what others say but they sound decent.
Luke may be able to shed some light on the one at Jeddore or Musquodoboit but coming down the South Shore may be better.

That's a shame. Hope you manage to get out before season starts.

I was tapping online with a person I know out west who I taught to reload back in the early 80's. Anyway he still uses the old lee loader (300win mag and 223), And he dosnt use a hammer. He uses a vice, says that since he started to use a vice he has a much more uniform size and bullet seat. He also uses a Layman powder tray with a built on funnel. He says that it is much more convenient.
