I can only guess if one day my wife said she wanted to hunt/fish with me...I would be wondering what was up. However I am pleased my daughter wants to and is going Moose Hunting this fall with me. Pleased is an understatement.

I took my wife out to the range with some friends from Search and Rescue. She loved every minute of it and immediately started checking into the firearms courses when we got home. She'd already done her Crossbow course with me in 2010 but had never been out. Last year we got our firearms licenses and a couple of guns. Now she'll come out during general season with me, but not by herself, and shows an interest in what I get. I have made it clear to her that I don't expect her to do any processing of fish or game when I get it, I prefer to do it myself as it's part of the experience for me.

She has no problem eating my harvest either LOL In my opinion...buy her the pink camo !! It'll show her you're really interested in her coming along ! I'd take her on a couple of early hunts for partridge...make a 'day' of it. Picnic or Coleman stove tailgate lunch...stuff that allows her to participate. Sticking her in a cold deer blind where she has to sit quiet and motionless for hours on end is probably not going to encourage her too much. All 'young' hunters need activity to keep them motivated...Most of us cut our teeth on partridge and rabbits...and allowed us to grow with those successes...multiple successes each day. If it's not exciting and involved, she'll more than likely have little to no interest...IMHO.
